Notes

Remastering of shnid 28609: using Adobe Audition, I repitched tracks 6-12 to match the rest of the show, and severely attenuated (by about 35 dB) the horrible booming resonance centered at about 215 Hz, most objectionable during Good Lovin'. I moved the track marker for the beginning of NFA to match more closely the change of source tape.

Only tracks 5-12 are different from 28609

An excellent Truckin' kicks into an awesome Dark Star.
The Dew from earlier in the set is holy.

Frankly, there are some Hunter-Garcia jam vehicles that I love (Dark Star in particular and the one here is fabulous), but the acidfyied, psychedilicized, Deadified transformations of great rock and R & B hits like Dancing in the Streets, Not Fade Away, & Good Lovin' are the essence of their greatness, and this was them at their creative peak!!!!!!! I saw some of these shows at the Capitol so many years ago and they still get me shaking, whoa !!!!!

Thanx Ken and Judy. I have always loved this show, in fact a personal favorite. Dark Star is out there! I only have been dling flac and would love to see the full show in this format. Bless you for what is there. I have more of this set on tape and the dynamic is quite different, a richer, almost stereo sounding, but still would not call it better sounding, just different. I love the audience vibe on decent recordings of this era. A bit of cultural history with some of the banter. I have long thought Bob was tripping balls at this show. Peace
